Ruth Wood is based at the University of Manchester and will be working in Theme 1, Project 1.3 reviewing and developing scenarios for our four challenging areas.

Ruth is a Senior Lecturer with over 10 years experience in climate change mitigation research, in particular developing methods and tools to assess the emissions savings from different interventions. For her PhD she developed emissions scenario tools and mitigation scenarios for road transport, domestic heating and waste(1,2).  Ruth has also developed emissions allocation methods and mitigation scenarios for international aviation (3,4), and a consumption-based emissions scenarios tool to develop mitigation scenarios for UK consumption (5). She will bring expertise in emissions accounting, modelling and mitigation measures to the Centre.
