Hettie Moorcroft is a PhD Researcher working between the University of Bath’s Institute for Sustainability and Climate Change and the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. Her research uses mixed methods to examine how business leaders make climate and energy decisions, exploring the roles of agency, social influence, and leadership, to inform future policy.
Hettie holds a BA in Geography from the University of Oxford, where her focus on equitable climate action developed into a Research Assistant role at the University of Bath, including a publication on wealth and climate change. Prior to starting her PhD, Hettie also worked as an energy transition consultant, engaging with UK businesses, policymakers, and regulators to design and deliver clean power ambitions.
