Tara McGuicken

Tara McGuicken is a PhD researcher based at the University of Bath. Her research explores the ways that travel habits and the built transport environment interact to sustain car dependency. Working with North Somerset Council and Oxfordshire County Council, she studies how transport infrastructure disruptions (e.g., road closures, roadspace reallocation schemes) act as ‘moments of change’ for sustainable travel behaviour, and how such opportunities can be better leveraged by transport policymakers and practitioners.

Tara previously studied an MSc in Environmental Psychology at the University of Groningen, where she completed a dissertation investigating the social communicative value of green labelling on food products.
